The brief

An airport hotel sells rooms and meals to overlapping guests, and running two systems for that means reconciling them by hand every night. Here the restaurant POS and the front desk share one database: a meal charged to a room appears on the room balance immediately, and check-out settles both. The kitchen side tracks raw materials as well as sale items, so consumption is visible rather than inferred, and the dashboard reports the day in the terms the owner actually uses — sales, expenses, profit, occupied rooms and what is still owed.
