The brief

Anything that moves money needs to answer "who did this, and when" without argument. Every balance adjustment, rate change and transaction in this platform writes to an activity log and a transaction log that no operator role can edit. Cashiers work inside permissions that let them serve customers but not alter rates or reset balances, and the cash float loaded to each position is tracked separately from customer balances. The exchange logic itself is straightforward; the controls around it are the product.
