The brief

Distribution businesses do not fail on sales, they fail on collections. This client supplies motor parts to dealers from Piliyandala to Ambilipitiya, almost all of it on credit, and the question that mattered was never what had been sold but what had not been paid for. The dashboard leads with two reports: customers carrying balances over two months, grouped by dealer, and every cheque that has bounced with its bank and number. Around that sits the ordinary machinery — goods received notes, invoicing, payments, returns, deliverer assignment — but the system is arranged so the money at risk is the first thing anyone sees when they log in.
